vision
Our vision is for a brighter future for Ngā Iwi o Taranaki driven by social and economic regeneration and growth. Our mission is to see Ngā Iwi o Taranaki realise our full potential by growing the talent, capabilities and resources of our people.
THE SEVEN POU
Ngā Iwi o Taranaki as a collective started with Te Aranga o Taranaki, Te Aranga i te Ao i te Pō, a response to the Covid-19 pandemic by our eight iwi to develop a recovery strategy and plan. A way forward, by tāngata o Taranaki for tāngata o Taranaki.
The name Te Aranga o Taranaki, Te Aranga i te Ao i te Pō, captures that particular kaupapa - as we arise, we rise again from some of the challenges we’ve experienced.
Te Aranga Recovery Strategy & Plan is based on seven pou or aspirations for Ngā Iwi o Taranaki:
- Collective Leadership – iwi collectively working together to lead and stimulate the reinvigoration of Ngā Iwi o Taranaki
- Quality Environments – Whānau are safe, secure and healthy in their own homes and surrounding environment

- Future Knowledge – Whānau have knowledge and equitable access to resource that allows them to advance ourselves in the new world
