Overview
We are looking for a reliable, energetic and guest-focused Houseperson / Public Area Cleaner to join our housekeeping team.
This role is essential in ensuring our public areas, guest facilities and back-of-house areas remain clean, safe and well-presented. You will also support our Room Attendants with a range of operational housekeeping tasks to help deliver an exceptional guest experience.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role with a variety of duties including:
- Maintaining hotel public areas (lobby, meeting rooms, restrooms, gym, patios)
- Supporting Housekeeping with the collection and removal of used linen, towels and rubbish from guest rooms
- Cleaning hotel vehicles, windows, carpets, and garbage bins
- Inventory control, stock organisation, and recycling
- Assisting with room attendant operations, including linen delivery and removal
- Maintaining housekeeping storage areas and equipment
- Supporting recycling, waste management and sustainability initiatives
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- Availability to work five days per week, including Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays
- Ability to work a mixture of early morning shifts commencing between 4:30am and 5:00am, and day shifts commencing from 8:00am.
- Flexibility to work two additional weekdays between Tuesday and Friday
- This is a physically demanding role requiring regular lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised
- Keen eye for detail, commitment to quality and using initiative
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience is an advantage but not required - we will train you
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability
