As our Connections & Low Voltage Planning Manager, you'll lead a team responsible for two critical areas:


Supporting customers to connect to the network efficiently and transparently

Planning the future of our low voltage (LV) network to ensure it can meet growing demand

This is a unique opportunity to bring together customer needs, network planning and emerging technology to make a real impact on how our network evolves.


Overview

What you'll be doing


You'll lead a specialist team that sits at the intersection of customer growth and network planning.


Your focus will include:

  • Leading Powerco's Connections & Low Voltage Planning function
  • Ensuring customer connection requests are delivered efficiently and consistently
  • Working closely with Customer Delivery Services, Development Planning, Asset Management and Delivery teams to remove barriers and improve outcomes
  • Using new data and insights from our LV visibility platform (GridSight) to better understand network capacity and future constraints
  • Helping shape investment decisions that support growth across the network
  • Responding to evolving industry and regulatory requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement, capability development and team performance
  • Building strong relationships with customers, developers, consultants and industry stakeholders


Requirements

What we're looking for


We're interested in hearing from experienced electricity industry professionals who bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership capability and commercial awareness.


You'll ideally have:

  • An engineering degree (BE or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in electricity network planning, power systems engineering or a related field
  • Experience leading, coaching or developing technical teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to balance customer, commercial and technical considerations when making decisions
  • Knowledge of electricity industry regulations, standards and emerging trends
  • CPEng accreditation (or be working towards it)
