PKW are seeking an exceptional applicant to fill our Te Rau Pupuru Tikanga vacancy, reporting to our Te Rautitikura (General Manager Shareholder Engagement). Key aspects of this role are to provide cultural leadership and advisory services to the governance, executive and kaimahi of the PKW Group that will lift organisational cultural capability. The role will strengthen engagement and relationships with iwi, hapu and Te Rautitikura (Shareholders) and will actively lead and uphold tikanga for all PKW events and engagements. Alongside cultural expertise, the role will also deliver effective project management for assigned projects and initiatives.

Requirements
We invite applications from candidates with the following:
- Experience in working with iwi/hapu and Māori stakeholders
- At least 3 years’ experience in providing cultural leadership or development or related fields
- Highly proficient in tikanga and te reo Māori, especially te reo o Taranaki
- Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Conversant in Matauranga Māori models (e.g. Te Whare Tapa Whā)
- Experience developing cultural capability of others
- Strong networking and relationship building skills
- Good knowledge and experience in managing projects.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate understanding and empathy with Māori aspirations for Maori economic development.
