Overview
Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities:
- Support site set up, planning and coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
- Conduct site investigations and field testing to understand infrastructure performance and failures.
- Interpret contract documents, drawings, building codes and regulations into clear work instructions for construction crews.
- Monitor and manage quality and compliance, ensuring work is completed to required standards and project specifications.
- Provide hands-on technical and engineering support to senior engineers and supervisors across a variety of civil projects.
- Champion health, safety and environmental standards on site, actively identifying risks, reporting incidents and suggesting improvements.
Requirements
Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We're looking for someone with:
- Bachelor or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Experience in civil contracting, working with engineers, architects, contractors and other professionals to support project delivery.
- A solid understanding of engineering and basic project management principles.
- A hard-working, practical, can-do attitude - a reliable team player who thinks ahead, solves problems and takes pride in a job well done.
- The ability to build rapport, communicate clearly and positively influence others on site.
- Experience using GPS for set out and data collection
