Healthcare Administrator - GP Clinic Hawera

We are currently seeking a permanent, full-time Healthcare Administrator.   In this role you will report to the Practice Manager.  This role will be based at our Healthcare premise on Hunter Street in Hawera. 


The successful candidate will have a good understanding of tikanga along with the skills and attitude to engage effectively with Māori and be excited by the prospect of working in a collaborative team that is working together to do things differently and better. 


Overview

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • This is a customer focused role being first point of contact for all visitors to the Ngati Ruanui Healthcare Centre.
  • General office administration and reception duties, providing an interface between clients and our Healthcare Teams.
  • Managing client records within our computer-based system.
  • Other projects as required.


Requirements

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a Level 7 ECE qualification with current certification, OR be a second or third year Teacher-in-Training.
  • Have a sound understanding of tikanga Maori and Te Reo, with the ability and confidence to speak basic Reo.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in Te Whariki, Group Curriculum Design, assessment and planning.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate.
  • Be passionate and encouraging about our nga tamariki development and learning.
  • Value respectful relationships with whanau, tamariki and Kaiako.
