As a Finance Business Partner, you will act as a critical bridge between finance and operations. You will lead financial reporting, manage complex budgeting processes, and provide the deep-dive analysis necessary to monitor business performance for your portfolio.


Overview

Working within our established systems, your focus will include:

  • Month end management accounting process and associated reporting requirements
  • Conducting financial analyses for significant parts of the business to identify variances, suggest efficiencies, and increase profitability.
  • Delivering specific elements of financial reporting following both internal and external regulations.
  • Providing financial modelling and evaluation to support major business decisions and long-term strategy.
  • Guiding the identification and mitigation of market risks and quantify risks associated with business activities.


Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who manages complexity with ease and possesses a strategic mindset. You should be someone who looks at issues from multiple angles to uncover root causes and can communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree with relevant experience enabling you to handle complex financial situations and advise others effectively.
  • A proven ability to apply financial indicators to make better business decisions and provide rigorous forecasts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the capability for conveying complex financial data concisely and professionally to varied audiences.
  • You manage your time efficiently, prioritise tasks, and can work independently. You are also adaptable and flexible when circumstances or requirements change.

Who we are

Todd Energy, a subsidiary of the Todd Group, is a producer of natural gas, providing more than 20% of New Zealand’s primary energy supply. Todd Energy is also responsible for operating and maintaining Todd’s generation assets, including gas peaking plants. We have offices across New Zealand, and our New Plymouth office is the primary home to the engineering and support teams for Todd. We have an active social calendar and celebrate cultural events throughout the year.
