Drapes and Blindz Direct is seeking a talented Curtain & Blind Installation Technician to join our team in New Plymouth. As a full-time technician, you will be responsible for the professional installation of a wide range of window coverings, from curtains and blinds to specialty products. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive a seamless and high-quality experience.
Overview
What you'll be doing:
- Safely and efficiently install a variety of curtain and blind products, made right here in our own factory.
- Carry out repairs, maintenance and cleaning
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the installation process
- Identify and resolve any installation challenges or issues to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, organised work environment and follow all safety protocols
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements
- Keep accurate records of completed installations and provide feedback to the team
- Continuously develop your technical skills and stay up-to-date with industry trends
Requirements

- Practical handyman or trade‑adjacent skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work well in a team
- Proficiency in using installation tools and equipment
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work at heights
