Overview
You’ll work as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, providing vaccinations in a variety of community and clinical settings, and ensuring that whānau are supported with accurate information to make informed health decisions.
This role is ideal for a skilled vaccinator who is passionate about equity, culturally safe care, and strengthening the hauora of whānau across Taranaki. You’ll bring professionalism, empathy, and the ability to build trust with whānau of all ages, ensuring a positive experience throughout the immunisation journey.
Requirements
Kia ekena a angitū | To promote success in this role, you will have:
- Authorised Vaccinator status in Aotearoa/New Zealand, with current certification
- Registration with relevant professional board (e.g Nursing Council of NZ)
- Proven experience in delivering vaccinators safely and effectively
- A sound knowledge of immunisation standards, protocols and cold chain requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with whānau in a supportive, culturally safe way
- Experience applying tikanga Māori in practice, or a willingness to grow your capability in this area
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- A full, clean NZ Driver Licence.
