You'll be the key contact for clients from initial enquiry to event execution, ensuring every detail is just right. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating conferences, boardroom meetings, private dining, and outside catering
- Hosting site inspections and client meetings
- Preparing proposals and function sheets
- Managing set-ups, logistics, and ensuring a seamless handover to the operations team
- Assist in managing food and beverage service during events as required
- Manage daytime boardroom meetings from arrival to departure
- Effectively manage event costs and budgets
- Maintain a database of key contacts and clients
- Providing hands-on support during key events as needed
- Collaborating with Food & Beverage, Front Office, and Reservations teams to deliver smooth guest experiences
- Following up on leads to maximise conversion and repeat business

Requirements
We’re looking for someone with:
- 1–2 years in event coordination or related hospitality roles (F&B, Front Office, Reservations, etc.)
- Experience with event management software (Function Tracker or similar preferred)
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills - you’re calm under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- A warm, confident approach with clients and colleagues
- Hands-on approach to event coordination and execution
- A genuine love for hospitality and creating great experiences
- Sales and marketing experience (advantageous)
- Bonus: Knowledge of OPERA Cloud, Micros POS, and the Taranaki region.
