Registered with Nursing Council of NZ with a current NZ Practicing Certificate
At least two years’ Practice Nurse experience preferred
A good knowledge of healthcare in Aotearoa/New Zealand
- The ability to provide a safe, professional service to whānau
- Compassion and be passionate about providing health services that meet the needs of the community and are of high quality
- The ability to understand the health needs of different communities and is able to build a rapport with those from diverse backgrounds
- The ability to demonstrate practical understanding of the aspirations and challenges facing Māori communities
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- A working knowledge of a Patient Management Systems is preferred e.g. Indici
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to lead and work as part of a team
- Excellent organisation skills and able to take responsibility for completion of tasks
- A strong work ethic, demonstrated by a high level of integrity, reliability, efficiency, and self-management
- The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with whānau and kaimahi
- Experience in applying tikanga Māori as it applies in the role (desirable)
- A full, clean NZ Driver Licence.
