Mō te tūranga | About the role
The Nau Mai Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining a vibrant, uplifting, and safe space, which provides a high level of manaakitanga to ensure whānau have the best experience when welcomed to Hauora ā-Whānau ki Whaitara. This role is based in the Nau Mai space of the practice to build relationships and connection with whānau and to raise awareness of the other services Tui Ora can offer. The Nau Mai Coordinator is part of the team that provides general administration support to the practice.

Requirements
Kia ekena a angitū | To promote success in this role, you will have
- Customer service, health administration or other relevant experience preferred
- Whānau focused that includes a calm, unflappable personality and unfazed by a busy work environment.
- Strong work ethic, demonstration by a high level of integrity, reliability, efficiency and self-management
- Previous experience in working with health and social service clients and their whānau is preferred
- Strong commitment to excellent whānau-centered care
- Highly adaptable
- Approachable, empathetic and strong ability to support whānau with varying health and social support needs
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information and can be discreet in interactions with whānau
- Good communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills and able to take responsibility for completion of tasks
- Able to demonstrate practical understanding of the aspirations and challenges facing Māori communities
- Experience in applying tikanga Māori as it applies in the role (desirable)
- A full, clean NZ Driver Licence.
You must be eligible to work in New Zealand to be considered for this position.
