Maru Ora Charitable Trust is committed to facilitating life-long opportunities for Ngāti Maruwharanui uri that enables them to be well educated, trained and confident in their Ngāti Marutanga. Maru Ora Charitable Trust is offering education grants to invest in Ngāti Maruwharanui uri and assist them to embrace educational opportunities.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to apply for the Tertiary grant, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Be of Ngāti Maru descent and a registered member of Ngāti Maruwharanui
- Submit a fully completed application including a personal statement and all required information by the closing date (incomplete or late applications will not be considered
- Provide proof of enrolment for year of the grant application and a transcript or report of the applicant’s grades for the previous year.
- Provide acceptable evidence of a bank account e.g. bank deposit slip or letter from bank.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Maru Ora Trust’s tertiary grants EXCLUDE Master's, and Doctorate level degrees
- Maru Ora Trust’s tertiary grants EXCLUDE Fees Free study
- The grants are available to full-time (36 weeks) and part-time tertiary students who meet the specific eligibility criteria.
- Grants are open to applicants of all ages who satisfy the criteria.
