  • A māmā studying Toi, Teaching of Te Reo Māori

Overview

This is a one-year grant to support mothers in training

Eligibility Requirements

Criteria:

  • Whakapapa to Ngāruahine and be fully registered with Te Korowai o Ngāruahine
  • Studying full-time or part time
  • Studying a course at a recognised tertiary institution in Aotearoa
  • Be a NZ citizen of permanent resident
  • Provide a written statement that explains how they have or how they will contribute to their hapū, marae and whānau development during and on completion of their course study

Selection Process

Processing timeline:

  • 1 December 2025 - Applications Open
  • 5pm, 31 March 2026 - Applications Close
  • April - May 2026 - Applications are processed and assessed
  • June 2026 - Applicants will be notified of outcome
  • June-July 2026 - Payments to successful recipients will be made
